Hundreds of GHS students are not responsive to phone calls or emails. They are a name on a list. A name on a list. MCEA members at Gaithersburg High School know that we have to do something. Can you help us?
We are collecting donations to provide for our students. Coats and winter wear will be distributed to our most at risk students. The small “gifts” will be delivered to students who have disappeared from the academic world amidst this horrific pandemic. It will be accompanied by a letter with the hopes of opening up communication between these students and their families/communities with the Gaithersburg high school community. Our educators will be safely delivering these to these students’ homes. We are willing to try and want to help. Will you help us?
DONATE COATS AND WINTER WEAR: Please consider donating so we can begin with the basest of physical needs for our students. The drive box will be available at the GHS foyer from Monday, November 23rd to Wednesday, December 9th.
DONATE SMALL GIFTS/INDICATIONS OF SUPPORT: Leave a small gift/treat for our students, which will be included in a standard envelope delivered to the students’ houses. This could be a small gift card, a school supply like a small set of headphones, stickers, etc. The drive box will be available at the GHS main office from Monday, November 23rd to Wednesday, December 9th.
