The 4th Annual GHS Athletics Golf Tournament, Saturday October 19th. All proceeds we raise are dedicated to GHS Athletics to support our students and athletes. This year we are playing Laytonsville Golf Course. The play is best ball/scramble, teams of 4. The cost is $120.00 per golfer which includes green fees, riding cart, a bucket of range balls and unlimited beverages and snacks.The first tee time is 8:30 am and then every 8 minutes after that. All are welcome to play.We are also raffling two great items donated by the NFL players association. A framed jersey signed by all of the 2018 rookie NFL players, plus all of their signed cards, also framed. Raffle tickets are 10.00 each.First prize is four hundred dollars plus a free round of golf for four at Laytonsville. There are also prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive. All are welcome to play, good golfers, poor golfers, beginners, rookies, friends and family. It is a really great outing, a good cause, and a lot of fun. We are also accepting hole sponsorships. So if you know a business who would be willing to sponsor a hole for $100.00, we will make a sign with their business logo and place it at the hole.

Did you know, the Gaithersburg High School PTSA offers an alcohol-free and drug-free After Prom party for ALL 11th & 12th graders who attend GHS, FREE OF CHARGE? It is our way of keeping our kids safe on a night where there are alternative temptations that are not. We can't produce this awesome event without an awesome team of parent volunteers. Come be a part of the committee to plan the event of the year.

Announcement: The STEM-UP @ GHS is inviting students who are looking for alternative opportunities to engage in fun and meaningful STEM learning activities. This is an excellent avenue for students who need more confidence in conducting scientific explorations and conducting experiments. The primary goal of this club is to increase students’ interest, participation and involvement in the field of STEM in multiple ways and in a supportive, inclusive environment that makes STEM accessible for all. The meetings are Thursdays after school in room 1087.
